"When the beat that your brain hears is at the same frequency as the natural frequency your brain produces during sleep, your brain begins to produce that frequency too. When your brain produces the frequency of sleep you fall asleep naturally."
So this means that if a sound is played that has the same rhythm as that produced by the brain when we are asleep, the brain will synchronize with that rhythm.
The research found that as this occurred other bodily processes controlled by the brain also began to slow down.
The heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature, respiration rate and muscle tension all slowed down. The listener becomes very deeply relaxed and will fall asleep.
It is now its possible for you to use this technique at home to overcome insomnia.

Listening to the Sleep Sound Audios
You don't need headphones in bed
Not all insomnia relief brainwave entrainment audios are created equal. Many use a type of beat, known as binaural beats, that require you to listen with headphones. "Sleep Sound", "Time to Sleep" and "Stay Asleep" do not use binaural beats. They use isochronic beats and so you can listen in comfort when settling down to sleep.
We do use binaural beats for daytime entrainment, but for the night we use isochronic beats, which may produce stronger entrainment than binaural beats.
